On Bank Holiday Monday, 27th August 2007, the
annual Northwood Carnival took place at the football club in
Chestnut Avenue. This event is organised by the Northwood Lions
Club with lots of help from the Denham Lions and the Phoenix
Lions.
For once, the Carnival was blessed with dry,
sunny weather, and what a difference it made! The side shows
attracted a steady stream of visitors, many of whom stayed on to
eat lunch or afternoon tea at the excellent BBQ and Tea Tent.
Hospital Radio Hillingdon provided music and amusing patter as
well as keeping everyone informed as to what was taking place.
The proceeds from the Carnival will be donated
to the RNIB Sunshine House School in Dene Road, Northwood.
