Northwood Safer Neighbourhoods Team is now in possession of the highly useful Body Worn Cameras. When on duty and dealing with matters these cameras can record pictures and audio that can be used in prosecution and as evidence in court. Usage has also shown to be a deterrent against spurious complaints against the police that are not substantive and merely false. The number of complaints against Police has fallen substantially when BWC’s are involved.
