The Field Maple sapling that we were awarded from the Queen’s Green Canopy ‘Tree of Trees’ was formally planted in the Northwood Recreation Ground in Chestnut Avenue on Tuesday 17th January 2023. The ceremony was performed by Councillor Shehryar Ahmad-Wallana, Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon with committee members from Northwood and Northwood Hills Residents’ Associations, and Hillingdon’s Open Spaces team in attendance.
Many thanks to Northwood Football Club for serving welcome hot refreshments in their clubhouse following the rather chilly ceremony.
Our tree was awarded jointly to Northwood and Northwood Hills Residents’ Associations in recognition of their work in the community, in particular by organising Jubilee in the Park. You can read the full story here.
