Northwood Football Club
The club is based in Northwood Recreation Ground in Chestnut Avenue and has been around since 1926. The current club is very different from the original set-up and is the only organisation in Middlesex to boast the standard of an FA Community Club with all the attached sides playing their home football within the one area – i.e. Northwood Recreation Ground.
The First Team is the focal point for the club and hopefully the whole of the town, playing senior football at Step 4 of non-League football with an ambition to one day reach Conference level. However, this is fully supported by a youth structure that offers football opportunities for the local community from Under-7s through to Under-18s and even provides coaching facilities from the age of just four! The Club’s development plan focuses on the right kind of coaching and on having sufficient numbers progress through to the club’s First Team. Sundays in the park are particularly colourful with up to seven matches being played in the park with the Northwood sides playing in their All Red colours.
There is a fully-functioning clubhouse which is currently (summer 2014) being modernised and refurbished to create a brighter and more modern feel, offering café facilities, a bar, and hall hire at discounted rates for members.
The season runs from August through to the end of April and all fixture details can be found on the superb website at www.northwoodfc.com . If anyone with an HA postcode wants to come along and see a game for the first time, then please email enquiries@northwoodfc.com and we will send you some complimentary tickets.
For any enquiries, please call the club on 01923 827148 or Club Secretary Alan Evans on 07960 744349.

Northwood Town Cricket Club
We are very aware that our profile and existence is not known to many local residents, but we are attempting to change this. The club is located on the border between Northwood and Northwood Hills at Northwood Recreation Ground (Rec) and accessed via Chestnut Avenue or Highland Road.
By way of history senior cricket has been played in the Rec since 1937 through first Northwood Hills Cricket Club and then since 1986 with Northwood Town Cricket Club following the amalgamation of Northwood Hills and Central Northwood cricket clubs.
The club currently fields three senior cricket teams with matches played predominately in various divisions of the Saracens Hertfordshire League on Saturday afternoons. Throughout the season we also compete in a mid-week 20/20 League and play occasional Sunday matches.
We are always on the look out for new senior players ie between the ages of, say 16 – 60 and would welcome anyone wishing to play.
In addition to the senior cricket side we have in recent years resurrected our Colts (ie aged 5+) section and through some very inspired management from various club members this has been extremely successful. We have seen a steady growth in members in recent years with sessions having been run each week throughout the summer as well as off-season winter training. It is very much the cricket club’s wish to keep developing the Colts section because this in many ways is the future of the club.
Therefore, if the thought of playing cricket at an extremely friendly local club attracts you then please contact the following people:
Senior cricket – Akshay Loomba (Club Captain) tel 07877526217
Colts cricket – Jack Daly (tel 07792864329, jackdaly92@msn.com)
In addition, you can gather more information via our web site at https://ntcc.hitscricket.co.uk/

Ruislip-Northwood Masters Swimming Club
For Fun, Fitness and Friendship.
Swimming is great for improving fitness generally and this is the goal of many of our members; others wish to develop their stroke technique and speed in order to compete at regular Masters Meets or triathlons.
We train four times a week for one hour on Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday evenings at St Margaret’s School in Bushey and on Saturday mornings at Merchant Taylors School, Northwood.
We are open to new members aged 18+. Perhaps you used to compete as a youngster and want to get back into swimming or are someone who would enjoy the discipline of training to schedules with like-minded individuals. You are very welcome to “come and try it” for a session or two free of charge.
If you would like to arrange a taster session or find out more about your local masters swimming club, do visit our website at www.rnscmasters.org or contact Jill Kirner, Membership Secretary on 07889 646 566 or via email at enquiries@rnscmasters.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
