Opportunity to Join the Governing Body at Eastbury Farm Primary School – Health and Safety / Estates Management expertise required

Eastbury Farm Primary School, located on Bishops Avenue, is a high‑performing and well‑regarded school known for its warm atmosphere, strong academic outcomes, and commitment to nurturing confident, well‑rounded pupils. As with all maintained schools, its Governing Body plays a vital role in providing strategic leadership, supporting the Headteacher, and ensuring the school continues to thrive.

The Governing Body is currently seeking a new member, and residents of Moor Park/Eastbury are warmly invited to consider this rewarding opportunity. School governors come from all walks of life, bringing their professional experience and community insight to help shape the school’s long‑term direction. The role involves attending meetings, contributing to decision‑making, and offering constructive challenge and support to the leadership team.

The school is particularly keen to appoint someone with health and safety expertise and/or experience in estates or building management. These skills are invaluable in helping the school maintain a safe, well‑managed environment for pupils and staff, and in guiding decisions about premises, compliance, and future development.

If you are interested in contributing your knowledge and playing a meaningful part in the life of a local school, please contact Rebecca Workman, Headteacher, by email on admin@eastburyfarm.herts.sch.uk to find out more.
