The NRA’s first Christmas Carol Evening was a resounding success. We were entertained by choirs from Frithwood and Holy Trinity schools as well as the North London branch of the Military Wives Choir. Many of the shops stayed open for the event, some offering mince pies and mulled wine to tempt customers inside. The library in Oaklands Gate had Christmas Craft making and Stories with Santa. Alongside the War Memorial we set up gazebos for the Northwood Lions, Northwood Live at Home Scheme and the local Scout Explorer Group to publicise their organisations and to sell gifts.
The festive and friendly atmosphere was enjoyed by all who turned out on this wintry evening – thank you for your support.
