This year saw the return of live events in the town centre. We were delighted to join forces with Holy Trinity Church to put on ‘Carols outside Costa’ on the evening of 16th December. Carol-singing and joke-telling were led by Rev Ann Lynes while the NRA committee served mulled wine and mincepies. Costa Coffee also contributed welcome cups of hot chocolate.
Hillingdon Council put on a Northwood Fun Day on 18th December to welcome shoppers back to the high street.
Northwood boasted its own post-box toppers for the first time this year, so it’s ‘thank you’ to the lady who crafted them and made us smile.
Many thanks go to the local businesses who added to the festive cheer with their twinkly window displays and to Robsons for sponsoring the Christmas tree. Together with the lights on lampposts and in the trees, funded by Hillingdon Council and organised by NRA’s Miles Gillman, Northwood came to life again.
