This year’s ‘Carols at Costa’ brought Northwood’s community together to enjoy some festive cheer at a time when the news seemed to be all ‘gloom and doom’. We were delighted to join forces with Holy Trinity Church and members of Northwood Methodist Church on the evening of 19th December 2024. Carol-singing and joke-telling were led by Rev Ann Lynes while the NRA committee served mulled wine and mincepies. Thanks to Costa Coffee for kindly allowing us to plug in to their power supply and for serving welcome warming drinks. Thanks also go to the local businesses who added to the festive cheer with their window displays and to Robsons for sponsoring the Christmas tree. Together with the lights on lampposts and in the trees, funded by Hillingdon Council and organised by NRA’s Miles Gillman, Northwood shone brightly through the gloomy days of December.
