Former Police Station: appeal vs change of use to children’s nursery

Posted on

The applicant has submitted appeals to the Planning Inspectorate against the refusal of planning permission for both
– the change of use from a police station to a children’s nursery.
– alterations to the Listed Building.

Both are being dealt with by written representation – so there will be no actual meeting for anyone to attend.

Any objections that had been made to either of the planning applications will be forwarded directly to the Planning Inspectorate by LB Hillingdon. However, we recommend that a further objection (perhaps with slightly different wording?) is submitted to the Planning Inspectorate portal, even if it is repeating your original objection. This emphasises your continued objection to both applications. Objections have to be submitted by 21st May 2025.

Whilst one is the Lead Case, it is important to submit your objection using both links. (Be aware that, whilst LB Hillingdon allows later objections to be submitted prior to the decision, the Planning Inspectorate does not).

For ease, maybe word a new single objection, covering both applications, but then submit that script on both Planning Appeal sites.
