NRA Buys Musical Instruments for Local Schools

Posted on

At the AGM in March 2013 it was agreed that the NRA should provide musical instruments for Holy Trinity and Frithwood Primary schools, spending £2,000 for each school.  This project has now come to fruition; the instruments have been delivered and the cheques presented to the schools.

NRA chairman Tony Ellis did the honours and presented one cheque for £2,000 to Frithwood Primary School on Thursday 11th July.  Frithwood school has purchased clarineos (short, plastic clarinets) and recorders for their Year 4 pupils.  Then on Monday 15th July, Tony was at Holy Trinity School where he presented head teacher, Daniel Norris, with the second cheque for £2,000.  Holy Trinity school has bought music stands, ukeleles and keyboards with their donation.

We look forward to visiting the schools again in the new school year to enjoy music performed by the pupils on “our” instruments!
