Earlier this week, My Northwood News asked Sainsbury’s about their position following the letter from TfL to Nick Hurd. The response from Sainsbury’s was as follows: “Our plans have not been dropped and we will continue to work with TfL and the developer”. This statement conflicts with the contents of TfL’s letter so we have written to Nick Hurd and Graeme Craig (Commercial Director of TfL who wrote letter) for clarification.
Â
TfL is notoriously difficult and arrogant to deal with and the way they have treated their Northwood tenants is scandalous. Therefore, they have an enormous trust deficit with us that is going to take a very long time to overcome. In the meantime, the SON Committee remains sceptical about TfL’s intentions and will remain so for the foreseeable future. We are waiting for Nick Hurd to arrange the meeting with Mr Craig when we hope to get a better understanding of TfL’s plans for the site.
We will keep you posted on developments as they happen.
