Catherine Greig of make:good reports:
In my last update I confirmed that TfL intend to take Vision 2, presented at our public exhibition (as well as online) in January and early February 2015, forward into a planning application before the end of this year. The material exhibited is still available to view online and a summary of the feedback that we received is available.
Since then TfL has appointed a full design team to undertake the detailed design process. We are aware that while Vision 2 was welcomed at the public exhibition (with 80% of those leaving feedback in January making it their preferred option), this vision will evolve as further design progresses to take account of technical and engineering constraints, and community input. The feedback collected in January has been made available to the design team and my team and I will be attending the ongoing design team meetings as well as arranging a series of public engagement events over the coming months.
TfL will be meeting the tenants over the coming weeks and will continue to liaise directly with them during the preparation of the planning application to ensure they are kept updated.
During the preparation of the planning application the Northwood Futures team will be arranging two separate opportunities for people to see progress and provide feedback. I will be providing exact dates for these in the near future, but an indicative timeline is:
1st opportunity for community to feedback – mid June (before the end of the school summer term)
2nd opportunity for community to feedback – w/c 7th September (after the start of school autumn term)
Planning application submitted to Hillingdon Council – mid Autumn 2015
TfL will also continue to liaise and collaborate with Hillingdon Council throughout the process.
We will be looking for venues and dates for our engagement activities over the coming weeks and will promote these events once we have more details to make sure as many people as possible have the opportunity to contribute their ideas and comment on the proposals.
