If you happened to be in Green Lane on Saturday 7th September around midday, you would have seen two gazebos erected near the War Memorial. The blue gazebo was occupied by the Northwood Safer Neighbourhoods Team giving crime prevention advice, whilst the green one housed members of the NRA Executive Committee handing our light refreshments to passers-by. By all accounts it was a great community event with plenty of shoppers stopping for a chat, a number of whom asked when we would be popping up again – watch this space!
