Sadly, we have to report that Jean McFarlane has died suddenly. Jean lived next door to the Police Station and was passionate about saving the building for the community; her father had been the desk sergeant there.
Jean was a lovely lady, a regular contributor to the NRA newsletter and a member of the police ward panel, she was a great friend to Northwood. She was always willing to help others and look for the best in people. That said, she was also fierce in her defence of the police and had strong views about local issues which she often shared with our MP and other community leaders.
She made a valuable contribution to Northwood Residents’ Association and often kept us on our toes. She will be sorely missed.
